Elected Position

Commissioner Jim Morrison was elected in 2025 to a 2 year term that began January 6, 2026.

Biography

Jim was born in Clay Center. Both parents were teachers. He attended schools in Manhattan and graduated from Manhattan High School and went out to attend Kansas State University where he graduated and  then graduated from Washburn Law School. Jim practiced law in Manhattan for 53 years. He was married to Lois who died in 2022. He has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. 

Community Involvement

First Presbyterian Church-Meadowlark Hills-Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation and Greater Manhattan Community Foundation.
