Please follow CDC safety guidelines by washing your hands often and maintaining a physical distance of 6-feet while inside of the facility. The floors are marked to maintain distancing and hand sanitizer is available throughout the shelter.
Stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, if you have been exposed to anyone that is ill, or if you have recently traveled to a high-risk area.
The shelter has a small staff, and are taking every precaution necessary to be able to continue caring for the homeless animals of our community! Thank you for understanding!
The T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter provides service to Riley County, Pottawatomie County and the city of Manhattan.
The shelter does not provide service to the city of Riley, Junction City, Leonardville, Fort Riley or Ogden. There is an $80 surrender fee per animal from these areas.
To jump start your adoption process fill out an application online! Once completed stop by to visit with our adoptable animals and we will already have your information on file!
